Pokolbin Mountains Road

Seeking a bit of a challenge? This trail takes cyclists on a journey through the breathtaking mountainous terrain of the region. This challenging trail rewards riders with panoramic views of the vineyards and countryside, making it a favourite for avid cyclists seeking a thrilling adventure.

Lovedale Loop

For those that enjoy a leisurely cruise, the Lovedale Loop offers riders a gentle and scenic route through the Lovedale region, passing by charming vineyards, cellar doors, and quaint country cottages. Start anywhere on the loop and traverse along Talga Road, Wilderness Road, Wine Country Drive and Lovedale Road. Stop at Gillies Bridge for a photo opportunity or have a coffee, wine or a meal at one of the many locations and service stops along the loop. 

Pokolbin Loop South track

This trail is another great one for those wanting a relaxing ride. Start at the Visitor Information Centre located on Wine Country drive and traverse along Wine Country Drive towards Cessnock before heading towards the vineyards via O'Connor's Road, Oakey Creek Road and then McDonalds Road back onto Wine Country Drive. Another easy-riding loop offering ample refreshment stops and rural landscapes along the way. 

With variety of alternative cycling tails available in the Hunter Valley, cyclists of all levels can find a path that suits their preferences and immerse themselves in the stunning natural beauty of the region, particularly in the Spring.
