Cycling in the Hunter Valley

One great way to get around the Hunter Valley is to use pedal power & two wheels! Not only is it a great source of exercise to counteract all the drinking & eating you will be doing, but it’s a great way to see the area first hand & at your own pace.

Cycling in the Hunter Valley

There are different levels of cycle tours, so even if you aren’t an avid rider, there are easier options for you. Whilst riding you will experience rolling green hills, lush vineyards, blue skies & fresh country air.

Depending on your interests, you can plan your ride around visiting cellar doors, tasting local produce, visiting local art galleries, stopping off for a casual or fine dining meal, taking in some shopping or take a break for a picnic.

There are two companies to hire bikes from if you haven’t got your own. You can choose either Hunter Valley Cycling or Grapemobile Bicycle Hire. Both great companies with a range of bikes to choose from.

To plan your cycling trip, you can either follow a suggested trail or if you have a sense of adventure, view the Hunter Valley Map, plan your own route & see what Hunter Valley secrets you can find.
