4 HOT NEW CHEFS ANNOUNCED AS TICKETS FOR THE 2023 FOOD FIGHT GO ON SALE
With 4 super names in the food scene just hot off the press, the 2023 Food Fight, put on by the not-for-profit Hunter Culinary Association, is sure to once again be a sell-out with tickets on sale today.
Each year two highly regarded chefs from outside the region take on two top names from the Hunter and provide their 350 strong dining audience with not only an incredible day of food and wine, but entertainment plus, as they are set the task of deciding which chef cooked which dish, and who did it best.
The two big names heading our way this year are Jason Dean – Head Chef O Bar & Dining and Sarah Knights former Head Chef Automata. Neither need much more of an introduction hailing from such great venues at the top of their game in Sydney’s highly acclaimed food scene.
In the red corner representing the Hunter region in this terrific cook off is Jake Deluca Head Chef at The Flotilla in Newcastle and Richmond Rodrigues Head Chef at Muse Kitchen in Pokolbin, both bearing Sydney Morning Herald chefs’ hats and known to be amongst the Hunter’s finest dining experiences.
It’s a fabulous event set down for Tuesday 27 June 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley.
Hunter Culinary Chairman Gus Maher commented “Having sold out the event to 350 people in 2022 we’re again expecting a really strong response when tickets for this sought after event go on sale this week. It’s a super event for our region and the hospitality industry at large, bringing camaraderie and talent together in a way that makes us as an association so proud of what we do to promote and nurture young hospitality industry talent through our extensive suite of scholarships.”

$175 Hunter Culinary Association Members, $195 non-members, $50 subsidised apprentices and $1600 member tables of 10.
The day’s entertainment kicks off at 11am and includes canapés prepared by some of the industries outstanding young apprentices on arrival, a superb four course meal prepared by the 4 ‘fighting’ chefs, plus premium Hunter Valley wines and beer. Go!
