NSW Trade Commissioner to China visits Hunter

Chairman of the Hunter Wine and Tourism Association, George Souris this week met the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet’s  (DPC) Trade and Investment Commissioner for South China & Hong Kong, Ms Cher Jones.

The talks centred on Hunter Valley wine exports to South China and Hong Kong and the various Expos planned for 2016, including that to be led by the Prime Minister in April 2016.

“It was a very positive meeting,” said Mr Souris. “We believe that a much closer relationship between the NSW DPC and the Hunter will emanate. There is a growing desire to promote Hunter wines internationally, particularly at Ministerial level.”

The year 2016 is also the anniversary of the oldest sister relationships - both Guangdong & NSW and Guangzhou & Sydney.
