This time of year the Hunter Valley is buzzing with action as harvest and vintage take place across our vineyards and wineries. If you’re visiting the region over the next few weeks you may come across large groups of pickers out at dawn until dusk harvesting this year’s crops, or tractors on the roads transporting tonnes of fruit from the vineyard to be crushed in the winery. Whatever the activity - it usually means vintage and with it, a crop of new whites and reds to enjoy. There is no better time to partake in a behind the scenes winery tour whilst the wineries are in full swing with their work.

Brokenwood Wines Journey Experience
Indulge in an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour and taste for the ultimate Brokenwood experience. After a guided food and wine flight in our private tasting room, your personal host will take you on a tour to view the famous Graveyard Vineyard, ending with a pre-release wine tasting straight from the barrel. Available for guests over 18 years of age only. $120 per person, 2 hour duration,11am daily.
De Iuliis DeLuxe Tour
Join one of the friendly De Iuliis team on a tour of their onsite winery. Afterwards, experience the perfect pairing with a wine and cheese tasting using local producers Hunter Belle and their incredible Hunter grown wines. $45 per person, bookings preferred.

Pokolbin Estate ‘Walk between the Vines’ Tour
Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, this tour is perfect for beginners new to wine or looking to experience how grapevines are grown in Pokolbin Hunter Valley. Set within the estate grown HV Shiraz Vineyard, this experience creates the perfect moment for the family photo album or a highlighted Instagram post.

Glandore ‘Vine to Glass’ experience
Let the Glandore Cru take you on an immersive wine journey. Starting at the vines, learn how they manage their vineyard, when they pick and how they care for the precious crop. With glass in hand you will head over to the winery where you will get a sneak peek behind the scenes, at the wonderful world of wine making. Then, taste wine straight from the barrel and before heading over to the stunning cellar door to taste their whole range. Plus, add a cheese or charcuterie board to your experience. Bookings preferred.
Tyrrell’s Sacred Sites Experience
The Sacred Sites Experience is one of the most unique winery experiences available, and the only time the Sacred Sites wine collection is available for tasting. Over 3 hours you will enjoy a private and personalised tour of the Tyrrell’s Sacred Sites vineyards, located on the Ashmans property, followed by an in depth winery tour and barrel tasting. Finish the afternoon with a tutored tasting of the Sacred Sites collection, accompanied by a charcuterie board with locally sourced fresh produce. Plus, upgrade your experience to be hosted by either 4th Generation Bruce Tyrrell, or 5th Generation Chris Tyrrell to fully uncover the history of these sites and the Tyrrell’s Family label.
