As you enter the property you get a sense of the peace and serenity you will enjoy at Hunter Gleann Hunter Valley. Arriving at the homestead or cottage, you will be welcomed by the warmth of the pre-lit fire (upon request) that has been prepared for you, just adding to the ambience as you begin to unwind. In summer, a quick dip in the pool will help you to relax after your journey.

Sitting back in the afternoon with a cheese platter and a glass of the Hunter’s finest is only complimented by the gorgeous views from your hill top retreat as the sun sets across the valley.

Dinner is a breeze as our kitchens are fully equipped to whip up a storm. If you don’t want to cook, Restaurant Botanica is an easy stroll across the paddock or travel a little further down the road to Yellow Billy Restaurant or Ironbark Hill Brewhouse. If you prefer to stay in, order a meal to come to you while you relax with your friends or family and enjoy your evening.

Enjoy the feel of the fine cotton sheets and soft fluffy pillows as you head off to bed. Waking is truly special as the sun rises to unveil the vineyards, olive groves and the Broken Back Range. This is a great time of day to take a walk around the property, joined by the local fauna as you explore.

After breakfast let the adventures begin! There are a number of wine tours available from group bus tour services to a horse drawn cart. For a more personal service, ask us about an exclusive private tour of up to 4 people. You can even enjoy an electric bicycle wine tour with Sutton Estate Electric Bikes and enjoy to safety and convenience of the Around Hermitage bike track.

There are many great activities available for the whole family. So many in fact that we have dedicated a page to list them all and continue to add more as we find them. If walking is more your style there are a number of cellar doors along Hermitage Road, only a short distance from our drive way.

If you are heading out to a concert by a touring Aussie or international artist, your pre-booked coach will collect you from the end our driveway on Hermitage Road.
