HUNTER VALLEY SWEEPS REGIONAL TOURISM AWARDS WINNING 5 OUT OF THE 10 AWARDS
The Hunter Valley Wine Country was the most awarded region at the 2019 Destination Sydney Surrounds North Regional Tourism Awards in Newcastle on Monday.
Embodying the destination vision of “Here’s To The Good Life ”, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Beyond Ballooning and Hunter Valley Gardens swept 5 out of the 10 awards which were held at Noah’s on the Beach among 120 industry representatives.
Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley took the gold for Business Event Venues and Deluxe Accommodation, Beyond Ballooning for both Adventure Tourism and Tour/Transport Operator and the Christmas Lights Spectacular at the Hunter Valley Gardens took home the gold for Major Festival and Events.

The Destination Sydney Surrounds North zone encompasses 13 local government areas - Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Cessnock, Dungog, Hawkesbury, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Penrith, Port Stephens, Singleton and Upper Hunter.
Category winners from the Regional Tourism Awards will now gain finalist status upon entering the NSW Tourism Awards to be held in Sydney in November.
