The Hunter Valley's original homestead will come alive on Sunday 1 March as the gates of Glenmore Country Estate are opened for the annual Wedding Open Day. Dating back to the mid-1800's, the homestead and accompanying grounds are some of the oldest in the region and a popular spot for Hunter Valley Destination Weddings.

Glenmore Country Estate Wedding Coordinator, Candy Sharpe, said "When couples are looking for a wedding location, they seek out venues that represent their values and personalities. Glenmore Country Estate exemplifies the charm and history of the Hunter Valley".

The Schwartz Family Company owned venue will play host to a variety of local wedding and event suppliers from Cessnock, Maitland and the Greater Newcastle areas.

"The Open Day will be a showcase of the best the Hunter Valley has to offer. From local florists and stylists to well-known dress and suit designers, we've organized the day to be a one-stop-shop for those planning their dream country wedding" Ms Sharpe said.
