A WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEW CEO – AMY COOPER
It is with great excitement that we can announce Amy Cooper has accepted the role of CEO for the HVWTA. Amy is an exceptional appointment and we are very excited for the Association and the Hunter Valley that we have been able to secure such an accomplished candidate to lead our organisation. Amy brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise in strategy and corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, advocacy and government relations, media, destination marketing, people management and change leadership. Amy is a transformational leader, with a proven track record in driving growth and innovation, and extensive experience in managing finances, resources and risk. Her areas of specialty include diversifying and generating funding streams via building strategic partnerships, community fundraising, commercialising services, corporate sponsorships and winning grants and tenders.
Amy will be relocating from Townsville for the role, where she currently holds the position of CEO, Ronald McDonald House Northern Australia. She will be joining her husband who is stationed in a senior role at Singleton Army Base. Please join me in welcoming Amy and her family to the Valley and her new role. We are confident that she will deliver a strong and steady leadership for our organisation and we are very lucky to have someone of her calibre leading our team.
