The Hunter Valley Shines at NSW Tourism Awards
Four of the categories in last night’s NSW Tourism Awards held in Sydney were won by Hunter Valley tourism operators, with Margan Wines taking home gold in two categories and silver in a third. Chateau Elan took out dual titles for Luxury Accommodation and Business Tourism, while Bimbadgen took home silver in the Award for Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries.
Eleven Hunter Valley operators were named finalists in the state awards which aim to recognise excellence and contribution to tourism. The following awards were received at the state titles:-

Now in their 25th year, the Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success throughout the year. The Awards are a submission and inspection-based program and provide the opportunity to publicly recognise and showcase the State’s finest tourism operators. The Awards have 31 categories across the industry spectrum – attractions, festivals and events, ecotourism, tour and transport operators, marketing and accommodation and outstanding contribution from individuals. Entry to the NSW Tourism Awards is open to all New South Wales tourism operators.
