Folk in Broke returns in 2015

Folk In Broke is returning to the beautiful Lower Hunter Valley village of Broke on Saturday March 28 2015 & what a cracking line-up it is!!

Featuring 11 amazing acts now, with the addition of Maitland singer-songwriter Dave Well, the line-up mixes up a whole heap of styles from gentle folk, to rollicking Celtic infused ditties, alt-country, grooving world music, blues, roots, old world & more.

There will be an intimate separate launch event on the Friday night at the historic Broke Community Hall with Jasmin Jones (for a fiver) & then the festival in full swing on the Sat day/night in McNamara Park.

We’re going old school, with the 11 bands over the course of the festival playing on a single stage with breaks in between sets so folks can grab a drink, eat some fantastic food, browse the markets, check out the Busk Stop & talk about the performance they’ve just seen.

Our fantastic artisan & handmade markets will be brought to festival goers by the amazing folks at Sacred Tree Markets. We’ll have food stalls that are a cut above your average festival fare. Quality beers from Six String Brewing Company & local organic wines for Ascella Wines served out of Willow the vintage 50’s caravan.

Though camping isn’t included as part of the festival, there is FREE camping directly adjacent to the festival site!

Tickets are strictly limited & priced at a very reasonable $75 + $2.50 BF with kids 12 & under FREE with parent or guardian.

Folk In Broke is a NO BYO alcohol or food festival but drinks will be in full cans at reasonable prices & food will be affordable & tasty.
