SOMEWHERE UNIQUE AWARDED TRIPADVISOR GREENLEADERS STATUS
Somewhere Unique in the Hunter Valley today (26th April) proudly announced it has been accepted as a Platinum level GreenLeader into the TripAdvisor® GreenLeaders™ program, which helps travellers around the world plan greener trips by highlighting accommodation properties engaging in environmentally friendly practices.
TripAdvisor GreenLeaders properties have met a set of environmental standards developed for TripAdvisor by a leading environmental consulting firm, with input from expert partners. The more green practices a hotel has in place, the higher its GreenLeader level, which is shown on the property’s listing on the TripAdvisor site.
“We can all do our bit to help the environment without giving up life’s little luxuries,” said Melanie Morschel, owner of Somewhere Unique. The property offers two contemporary architect-designed retreats, strategically placed to ensure privacy for each couple. Each retreat enjoys a northerly aspect with valley views, and features king-size bed, two-person soaker bath, reverse cycle air-conditioning, stereo system, gas log fireplace, wi-fi, Foxtel, modern kitchen and private deck; in conjunction with plenty of environmental initiatives.
Travelers can now search for accommodation that have TripAdvisor GreenLeaders status on the TripAdvisor site, and view a detailed list of environmentally-friendly practices that they can expect at each location.
