Winners are Grinners
Hunter Bock was crowned Champion Dark Lager at the 2015 Craft Beer Awards. Hunter Beer Co. entered three beers in the national competition and each of the three beers was awarded a medal; the Bock won gold and the Champion trophy, Hunter Pale and Cranky Pants IPA both received bronze medals.
Head brewer, Keith Grice, said “We know our beers are great and the customers who visit us know our beers are great, but it is special for someone to hand you a trophy and say your beer is the best of its kind.”
Mr Grice added “In a tough competition where medals were hard to pick up brewers in the Hunter Valley have done exceptionally well. Our friends in wine country at Hope Estate and Lovedale breweries bagged two silver and five bronze medals between them and Foghorn in Newcastle also scored a Trophy for Champion Stout. The beer scene in the Hunter punches well above its weight, which is great for everyone who enjoys beer.”
Hunter Beer Co. is a microbrewery that has a focus on making quality hand crafted beer and sharing a passion for craft beer with visitors to the region.
