SPICERS RETREATS BOLSTER OFFERING IN NSW WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF GUESTHOUSE RETREAT
Spicers Retreats has today announced the addition of its second Hunter Valley property, Spicers Guesthouse Retreat, set for opening in November this year.
The boutique holiday destination, which will be the Group’s fourth retreat in New South Wales, will provide guests to the region a larger more event-focused alternative to Spicers Retreats neighboring property, Spicers Vineyards Estate.
Following an 18 month renovation process, which began in 2016, Spicers Retreats have invested more than $20 million on renovations that will see Spicers Retreats Owner, Jude Turner, bring her vision for the historic property to life.
“Having purchased this property two years ago, I am thrilled to finally unveil the first look at this charming retreat that pays homage to its roots as a meeting place for local wine makers,” Jude Turner said.
“The extensive refurbishment includes an uplift in design to match the surrounding mountain ranges and vineyards, and state of the art conference facilities, a large-scale events or wedding gazebo, and private dining room with elaborate wine wall, housing the locally-produced wines from Australia’s oldest wine region.
“Spicers Guesthouse will also boast 49 accommodation rooms, including a four-bedroom standalone cottage – perfect for larger groups and weddings - all set in the picturesque surrounds of the beautiful Hunter Valley,” said General Manager Mark Whitnell.
As the ninth property in the Spicers Retreats portfolio, Spicers Guesthouse will also tout a coveted new restaurant.
The Italian inspired offering, Eremo, will infuse the food philosophy of Spicers Retreats and the Hunter Valley region, with an abundance of local produce and great wine that the area is renowned for. “The new Spicers Guesthouse restaurant will provide unparalleled views of this immaculate part of the world, serving as the perfect location to relax, reconnect, and share in life’s special moments with those closest to you,” Mark Whitnell added.
