Edgeworth David Museum

Opening Hours: Open 1pm to 4pm Sundays, Wednesdays and public holidays.

The Edgeworth David Museum building is the former 1901 Pokolbin Public School.

It contains some 5,000 heritage items representing rural and coal fields heritage of the region. It's library is recognised as the largest local history library in the Hunter Valley. Items displayed range from buttons to pianos and organs. Rare and old books dating from the 1830s are a feature. The collection is typical of any country town, depicting the typical lifestyle of the region from the 1920s.

Displays cover every aspect of life in a rural area in the 20th century.
