FINANCIAL MEMBERSHIP

By agreeing to be a member of the Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association (HVWTA) and Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre (VIC) you agree to the following terms and conditions.

As the membership administrator, HVWTA is authorised to make any enquiries or exchange or disclose any information concerning your credit, from or to any person or source authorised under the privacy act and you acknowledge that we may supply this information to a credit reporting agency.

You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of membership as set out below and which you acknowledge you have read and accepted. You warrant that the information given by you herein is true and accurate.

1. Indemnify the HVWTA, servants and agents, against all liability, actions, proceedings, claims, and/or demands whatsoever that may be brought by any person or persons arising directly or indirectly from being accommodated in or touring, dining, wine tasting or otherwise visiting upon premises or using facilities that you own, manage or over which you have control.

2. Keep current all public liability insurances/business registration forms and occupation certificates in connection to the running of the business/s and will furnish evidence of such insurances if requested.

3. Indemnify the HVWTA in respect of any liability, actions, proceedings, claims, and / or demands, whatsoever, including any liability for its own legal costs, arising out of or in connection with the inclusion by or at the request of the member of any reference in any promotional material published or broadcast by or on behalf of Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association to any products, services or performances of or by the member or any third-party.

4. A Member may resign from membership of the Association by first giving notice (being not less than one (1) month or not less than such other period as the Committee may determine) in writing to the Secretary of the Member's intention to resign and, upon the expiration of the period of notice and payment of any outstanding Association Fees and 7 any other fees payable or due to the Association, including but not limited to advertising fees, the Member ceases to be a member. No Association Fees made prior to the notice will be refunded.

Selection of membership category

HVWTA’s membership program is subject to external audit, which includes your selected membership category.

Payment of Membership

New members:

  • Member benefits will not be activated until payment for the membership fee is received.
  • If payment is not received within the terms, your membership benefits will not be activated until such time that payment is received.

Ongoing members:

  • If full fees are paid by 31 July 2023, members will receive a 5% early bird discount. Revenue categories A-B are required to pay fees in full upfront, and categories C-H can elect to pay in 2 x 6 monthly instalments, however in choosing this option you will not be eligible for an early bird discount.
  • Payment of membership fees must be received within HVWTA terms as stated on your invoice.
  • If payment is not received within the terms, your membership benefits will be suspended at the discretion of the HVWTA (e.g. website listing deactivated, removal from Hunter Valley Regional Guide and Map and exclusion from all other HVWTA member benefits) until such time that payment is received.

Credit card payments

  • Fees of 1.25% apply on all credit card transactions.

Overdue Payments

  • Interest is payable on so much of the amount as is outstanding from time to time at the prescribed rate by section 101 of the Civil Procedure Act 2005 (as amended) plus 2%.
  • Despite the preceding clause interest is not payable on the amount owing if paid within 28 days from the date of invoice.
  • An administration fee of $35 per month is payable on any amount outstanding after the period of 28 days from the date of invoice.
  • You will be liable to pay all damages, expenses and costs of collection of any overdue monies including, but not limited to the payment of a management fee or otherwise for such collection of any monies due but unpaid, in addition to all other remedies HVWTA shall have at Law.
  • You will be liable to pay any outstanding invoice/s in total, if the business wishes to reinstate their partnership.

The content, organization, design elements, graphics, text, images, video, compilation, advertising, marks and all other material on the Site are protected under applicable copyrights, trademark and other proprietary (including but not limited to intellectual property) rights and are the property of Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association Inc. or its members and associates. The copying, distribution, modification, unauthorized use or publication by you, directly or indirectly, of any such matters or any part of the website, including but not limited to the removal or alteration of advertising, except for the limited rights of use granted hereunder, is strictly prohibited.
