Hunter Valley Beer & BBQ Festival

Love Beer? Love BBQ? Love live music? Love a relaxing day in the vineyards? The Hunter Valley Beer & BBQ Festival has all that plus more. On Saturday 12th October, the rolling lawns of Hope Estate’s amphitheatre will become a Beer & BBQ lover’s paradise. Now in its fourth year, the festival has transitioned to a new one-day format, yet it still offers plenty of classic favourites to enjoy.

Hope Estate will again be showcasing over 40 of their vast range of beers and ciders from easy drinking Ales and Lagers, German styles, thirst-quenching Sours through to the crafty styles of Porters, Stouts and more. Imagine this amid the inviting smell of BBQ and sound of live music coming from the stage.

The BBQs and smokers will be fired up to serve plenty of finger-licking, succulent, and mouth-watering BBQ dishes and meats. There will be something for everyone to enjoy. Alternatively, you could indulge in the Ultimate Angus Lunch – a feast tailored for meat enthusiasts (please note, no special dietary requests can be accommodated here!). Featuring Hope Estate’s own Nioka Black Angus beef, this three-course lunch will present a variety of cuts and cooking techniques in a delicious tasting plate format. Taking “paddock to plate” one step further, with “brewery to paddock to plate” Hope’s pasture-raised cattle are finished on the spent grain from their brewery… talk about sustainability! You eat the beef that fed on the grain that made the beer.

The new format transforms the festival into an exclusive event for those aged 18 and over, providing a space where adults can unwind and soak up the sun. This change promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with activities, entertainment, and opportunities to relax and socialise.

Festival favourites, the Strong Beer Masterclass and Demonstration Stage featuring a range of experts sharing their knowledge are back. And of course, there’s an array of live music talents to enjoy, whether you prefer to sit back and listen or dance the afternoon away.
